Every stitch that comes out of Mustang is made as though lives depend on it. And lives do.
In fact, the Canadian Armed Forces, U.S. Navy, U.S. AirForce, NASA, the Canadian and New Zealand Coast Guards all depend on Mustang, as do the most discriminating clients in the world - families.
In 1967, Mustang introduced its Floater Coat and created a new wave in marine safety gear. Since then Mustang has been awarded two of the most prestigious certifications for quality in design and manufacturing: ISO 9001, the highest level of international recognition; and AQAP 1, the highest level awarded by NATO.
Mustang survival apparel not only remains unsurpassed in floatation and hypothermia protection, it also provides superior mobility and durability. On that you can bet your life.
Earning Awards Didn't Happen By Accident It Happened By Design
Skilled, long-term factory employees aren't the only ones putting together our gear. We also boast a world-class Research Division made up of engineers and scientists. Together, this group provides a powerful combination of brains, experience and innovation to find integrated solutions for people facing hazards on land, in the sea and air.
What's more, to ensure the success of our garments, we test them against numerous and significant hazards. If they can overcome our challenges, they can surely overcome nature's.
AIRSOFT(tm) FOAM, A Mustang Exclusive.
Mustang Survival garments are lined with our innovative AirSoft polyvinylchloride (PVC) closed cell foam. By trapping air pockets, this foam provides our products with both buoyancy and insulation. In fact, all Mustang garments exceed the minimum buoyancy requirements for Coast Guard approval. This allows for a loss of buoyancy over time due to compression of the foam. What's more, the liner is glued to the seams forming an interliner that's impenetrable by wind or water.
